Can I Claim Deduction U/s 80d- Contribution To Medicalim Policy Of Rs.10000/- From My Gross Salary -ay 0607?

for A Y 0607 contribution to Mediclaim Policy to the extent of Rs.10000/- is possible? As I have already paid the premium, can I take the deduction from my gross salary?

    Yes ,If the amount is paid for Mediclaim Insurance then it is eligible for deduction u/s 80 D.
    The amount should be paid within the prescribed time limit.
    And the time limit is upto 31st March. so if you paid any amount towards mediclaim within such period then the amount so paid or 10,000/- whichever is lower is eligible for deduction.
    If any amount paid after 31st march then the amount paid is eligible for next year.
